Fans are eagerly anticipating Clash of Clans’ upcoming event, Hammer Jam 2024, but this time around we’re met with a true-crime-style podcast set in the universe, as someone has nefariously hammer-napped Clash of Clans Builder’s prized Hammer.
This is a first-of-its-kind event we haven’t seen before, and what the consequences entail we’re not entirely sure, but we’re going to try and make sense of it anyway.
So today, we’re checking out the latest Clash of Clans Hammer Jam 2024 teasers to see what we can dig up about the COC event, what this ‘true-crime’ who dunnit about Builder’s Hammer might entail, and more!
What is Clash of Clans Hammer Jam Event?
If this is your first year fully investing yourselves into Clash of Clans, you might be out of the loop about the ‘Hammer Jam’ event. It’s been a regular staple in Clash of Clans for the last couple of years, and essentially, the Clash of Clans Hammer Jam is a time/cost reduction event. This means every Hammer Jam, players are treated to the ability to make a ton of upgrades to their base for cheaper and faster than usual, with some Clash of Clans Hammer Jams reducing costs or time required to upgrade by as much as 50%.
Not only that, but Hammer Jams are also the main ‘event’ that acts as a precursor to the release of the next Town Hall update, which means we could be receiving the Town Hall update by the end of the year 2024. Safe to say, the Hammer Jam is an important event on Clash of Clans fans’ calendars since it helps you upgrade your base while eagerly anticipating the new major changes coming from the latest COC Town Hall update. But this year, we’ve got something a little different, as the Builder’s Hammer has been stolen, and we’re trying to figure out who. For now, we’re not sure how the teasers will tie in with the Clash of Clans Hammer Jam event, but more on that in a bit.
For now, we don’t have any official word on when the Clash of Clans Hammer Jam event will go live for 2024, but considering they’ve released the teasers and follow-up content with two new ‘true-crime’ style podcasts, the Clash of Clans release data shouldn’t be too far off.
If we’re taking into account their history with the Hammer Jam event, last year we received the Hammer Jam event towards the end of November–early December 2023.
Considering these two facts together, we’re theorizing the event should follow the same pattern, and considering the timeline for the build-up of the event, we expect it to go live sometime in late November 2024.
A New Permanent 7th Builder
But what does all this mean for the game? Why did someone steal Builder’s Hammer? For now we’re unsure if the ‘stolen’ Hammer is a subtle reference to Hammer Jam being delayed this year or if it’s a storyline for the COC Hammer Jam’s event Quests.
Since we haven’t seen anything of this style before, it’s slightly confusing, but some theories have popped up that the real culprit seems to be ‘Goblin Builder.’ Goblin Builder is currently a time-limited extra builder that sometimes appears to help out with your building tasks.
But if Goblin Builder is truly the culprit, then we might see this event culminating with Supercell officially launching a permanent 7th Builder slot with the ‘culprit,’ aka Goblin Builder.
